Casual Engineering Research

Casual Engineering Research is a unique venue in Hong Kong, noted for its impressive sound system featuring what may be the largest speakers in the city, built directly into an acoustically ideal listening room. Everything was custom designed and built in-house from the ground up to deliver massive, audiophile-quality sound, even when there’s a crowd.

In addition to the listening room, there is an open space, a lounge area, a small pantry, and an outdoor terrace with a partial harbour view. It is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the Admiralty MTR station and a 10-minute walk from the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Casual Engineering Research serves as a gathering spot for creative minds and curious people, hosting various programs such as music events, listening sessions, art exhibitions, brand events, and talks. The venue exclusively collaborates with artists, collectives, businesses, and organizations to focus on cultural initiatives and respectfully declines private party requests.
