Gong Hey Fat Choy! After several parties and big meals in the past few months, are you planning to get some rest? Wait… No… You cannot! Chinese New Year is approaching soon in less than a month, let’s make your parties and events filled with more happiness and laughter in the New Year! Apart from the traditional Chinese practices such as shopping at Chinese New Year markets, please also make sure you gather all your relatives and friends to welcome The Year of Dog together (and get the red packets all in once)! Here, VenueGuy has selected a few unique Chinese restaurants that allow you to enjoy delicious dishes while indulging in Chinese festive ambiance.

Travel Back in Old Hong Kong – Lú Fēng

Located in The Peak Tower at The Peak, Lú Fēng takes the theme of Hong Kong in the ‘60s and ‘70s. Upon arrival, you will soon be attracted by the nostalgic interior decoration. Those neon lights and signs recall all your childhood memories, creating an experience just like riding a time machine and traveling back to the old Hong Kong.

This two-story Chinese restaurant covers 6,000 sq. ft. and offers guests a cozy and spacious dining environment. With the stunning views of Victoria Harbor, diners can enjoy barbecue meat, premium seafood and other signature wok-fried dishes. More important, you can stay away from the crowd but still be able to appreciate striking scenery at Lú Fēng! The second floor is mainly divided into three dining areas, accommodating various kinds of private parties and corporate events. The VIP room is also well designed for small gatherings, so pick up your phone and call your friends to arrange CNY dinner now!

Calling for All Vegetarian Cuisine Lovers – Kung Tak Lam Shanghai Vegetarian Cuisine

Also boasting fabulous views of Victor Harbor, this time we have Kung Tak Lam Shanghai Vegetarian Cuisine in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui. This pillarless vegetarian restaurant is about 8,000 sq. ft. which can cater over 200 guests. With a flexible configuration, you can host different type of events including weddings, company’s annual dinners and even gatherings with family and friends. Kung Tak Lam team is always here to arrange the best set-up at the venue based on your preference and it is certainly an ideal venue for all vegetarian cuisine lovers!

Some may think vegetarian dishes would taste simple, but in fact, this is a big mistake and you will surely be impressed when being served. The chef highly recommends Braised Vegetarian Meatball in Casserole, Sweet & Sour Vegetarian Pork (Mountain Mushroom), Vegetarian Ham Roll with Seaweed in Honey Sauce and Bean Curd Dumpling. The color, smell and flavors are well balanced in all dishes and are as mouth-watering as non-vegetarian dishes.

A Detail Oriented and Classy Dining Hub – Greater China Club – Man Hing

In recent years, D2 Place in Lai Chi Kok is devoted to the promotion of arts and cultural activities. Not to mention, Greater China Club – Man Hing combines both art and the dining experience in one single venue where the red door alone fully symbolizes power. Upon entering the restaurant, you will soon be surrounded by a rich Chinese ambiance and each table has its own art piece for decoration which helps in creating the overall style of the restaurant.

In addition, there are seven VIP rooms (all named after Chinese musical instruments) of various size that will further enhance the exclusivity of your event. The rooms can be expanded according to your event types and party size, which can comfortably accommodate up to 15 round tables for 180 guests. Greater China Club team is also delighted to design the menu for different events and the guests can of course choose their own dining set menu to enjoy the best event and dining experience!
